A native of the Twin Cities, Aaron Thomas graduated from Hamline University with a Psychology and Film degree, which was the university’s first such major/minor degree awarded in its long history. After working on several independent film/video projects, attending acting school, and involvement in the Minneapolis Fringe Festival, Aaron found himself a home at Twin Cities Public Television (TPT) where he worked for nearly four years. He then moved on to creating and consulting on media projects, producing audition reels for television and film productions, being a Youth Intern Coordinator and mentor at SPNN, and judging for independent film festivals. Aaron then became a freelance producer and videographer at Nine North (North Suburban Access) and the City of Eagan for several years. More recently, he worked for the Guthrie Theater as the In-house Video/Photo Content Creator and was responsible for creating TV and radio commercials, interviews, rehearsal photos, and social media videos to promote Guthrie productions. He is currently working for the City of Minneapolis in Video Services, a division of the city’s Communications Department.
