Narrative Filmmaking (ages 14-17) – FULL

Monday–Friday, August 13–17, 12–4 pm During this weeklong camp, participants will explore the many facets of narrative filmmaking, while working collaboratively to develop a strong script, work with character development, and shoot and edit a film. They will learn the conventions of constructing an effective narrative, how different shots and camera movements influence the story, and how to get the best from their acting talent. Short Cuts (Section 3, ages 11-14)

Students will create two short films over the course of the week. You’ll be introduced to the filmmaking process through an introductory artist’s statement film, then add further production value in creating video poem shorts.
