Representing Independent Filmmakers in Minnesota

December 1, 2016 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Have you have ever thought about starting your own boutique law practice? Or wondered how to position your current practice to reach the kind of clients you are interested in serving? Do you want to know more about the many resources available to Minnesota artists? Learn about the challenges and rewards of practicing art and entertainment law while also finding out more about an important part of the Minnesota arts community.

You don’t need to move to LA to work in the film industry. There is a large community of media professionals right here in Minnesota – and they need good lawyers. Walt Lehmann of Lehmann PLC (formerly Lehmann Strobel PLC) has practiced art and entertainment law in Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Maryland – but not California. Join the Art and Entertainment Section for a lively discussion with Walt about the ins and outs of representing independent film producers and other media professionals. The presentation will be followed by a tour of the Independent Filmmaker Project campus and a networking reception at Lake Monster Brewery. This event is FREE to IFP MN members! Preregistration required.
