Post-production with Adobe CC
Starts March 5
1 session: Saturday, March 5, 10 am–5 pm
Utilizing the integrated collection of software available in Adobe Creative Cloud, solo artists and small teams of professionals can rapidly turn around video projects faster and even better than before. This course teaches a nonlinear, non-destructive approach to editing, visual effects, mixing, grading, and final delivery (collectively referred to as post-production), utilizing Adobe Dynamic Link to quickly move back and forth between Premiere, After Effects, Audition, and Cinema 4D.
Students will be introduced to the programs and workflow they can expound upon in subsequent software specific classes or in their own study. The course also emphasizes file management and quality standard and assumes a beginner- to intermediate-level of competency in editing with Premiere, Final Cut, Avid, or any other nonlinear editor. Familiarity with Photoshop is recommended.
Students will shoot their own web series intro in front of a green screen; edit and sync audio in Premiere; mix the audio in Audition; key out the background in After Effects; add 3D graphics with Cinema 4D; and render from Premiere to a video file to take with them. iMacs provided. There is a lunch break. Space is limited – register early.
Tuition: $175 regular/$130 member/$100 low-income
After contracting in Los Angeles on major theatrical films and TV for four years, Michael Richmond returned to his home state of Minnesota in 2009, rented a small Midtown Minneapolis office, literally pulled three computers from the trash, refurbished them, and founded Dizilu. Since then, the company has upgraded to new computers, grown its facilities, and become a one-stop location for video, animation, and graphic needs. Through Dizilu, Michael has enjoyed collaborating with companies of all types, including leading ad agencies, Fortune 500 businesses, and major media outlets.
