iPhone Photography Boot Camp

Starts June 3

2 sessions: Saturdays, June 3–10, 10 am–5 pm

In this beginning-level workshop you’ll learn how to make amazing photos with nothing more than your iPhone. We’ll spend the first part of the workshop discussing photography basics, the specific aesthetics of mobile photography, and how to make images that will attract attention on social media. You’ll learn how to work with different apps for shooting and editing to improve your images, and also tips for sharing your images on Instagram, Facebook, and other social media platforms. There will be plenty of examples to learn from, and also some in-class editing demonstrations. At the end of the first session you’ll receive a homework assignment to create several different types of photos, and we’ll spend the second session reviewing everyone’s work to critique it and learn from one another in a positive, open environment. No previous photography experience required, but you’ll need an iPhone for shooting, editing, and sharing. There is a lunch break each session.

Tuition: $235 regular/$175 member/$130 low-income
